Brief Biography
Dr. Ash graduated in medicine from the University of Toronto in 1969 and trained in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine in Toronto. She received her diploma from the American Board of Nuclear Medicine in 1975. Dr. Ash joined SickKids in 1974 as staff radiologist in the Division of Nuclear Medicine. She has been involved in over 60 published articles, and book chapters.
She served as an examiner for the Royal College Certification in Nuclear Medicine both in the 1970s and 1980s. She has served as reviewer of journal manuscripts and meeting abstracts and participated as an invited speaker and chairman for both national and international imaging meetings.
Dr. Ash is the past HSC Director for the Michener Institute Nuclear Medicine program. Past research interests include brain, musculoskeletal and renal scintigraphy. She is currently involved in general paediatric nuclear medicine studies, as well as PET imaging.
