Brief Biography

Melissa Bradley is a Paediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Division of Paediatric Medicine within the Complex Care Program at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). She received her undergraduate education from Ryerson University and graduate education from the University of Toronto. She is adjunct faculty at the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto. Melissa has 14 years of paediatric nursing experience at SickKids, five of which were focused on caring for children with medical complexity who are medically fragile and technology dependent.

Clinical Care Activities

Melissa works with children with medical complexity and their families. She provides ambulatory care within the Complex Care Clinic at SickKids and at the Credit Valley Hospital (within Trillium Health Partners). Melissa’s work focuses on coordinating care between multiple health-care providers and specialists within SickKids and the community to develop collaborative plans of care, and to help provide integrated, holistic care across the continuum of care. She works closely with her patients and their families to address individualized health care needs, service needs, and overall goals. Melissa has been involved in program planning aspects of community satellite clinics at North York General Hospital and Credit Valley Hospital Complex Care Clinics. Melissa was also involved in undergraduate nursing education for the University of Toronto and University of New Brunswick (at Humber College).


Melissa was a recipient of the 2014 Grace Evelyn Simpson Reeves Award in Nursing Excellence for Nursing Innovation with the Complex Care APN Team.
