Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Hall of Fame welcomes Mary Jo Haddad

The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is proud to announce that its President and CEO, Mary Jo Haddad, has been inducted into the Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Hall of Fame.

Haddad received the Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award, presented by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN), in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have a woman such as Mary Jo guiding the vision of the Hospital,” says Bob Harding, Chair of the SickKids Board of Trustees. “She is a strong leader for the SickKids community, and a role model for innovative and effective public sector leadership.”

Connie Sugiyama, Past Chair of the SickKids Board of Trustees, was also selected as one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women in the “Trailblazers & Trendsetters” category.

Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards has become one of Canada’s most recognizable honours and is bestowed on Canada’s highest achieving female leaders in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. To date, 584 women across the country have received this distinction. Only 83 women have gone on to be inducted into Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Hall of Fame.

WXN is Canada’s leading organization dedicated to the advancement and recognition of women in management, executive, professional and board roles.

Earlier this year, Haddad was named one of Canada’s inaugural Top 25 Women of Influence.
