Paediatric Anesthesia Conference 2009

The Hospital for Sick Children and The University of Toronto invite you to attend the 24th Pediatric Anesthesia Conference to be held at the Hilton Toronto November 6-8, 2009.

Course Objectives

This program of lectures and panel discussions will review current issues in pediatric anesthesia practice, update the clinician on newer monitoring and management strategies and provide a forum to discuss the clinical challenges of pediatric anesthesia practice.

Participants will be able to assess new monitoring and management strategies for routine and complex cases, weigh the benefits and risks of different modes of pain management, consider the implementation of a peripheral nerve block team and have a better understanding of the effects of anesthetic agents on the brain.

Accreditation

This program has been approved for 13.5 Section 1 credits as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and 13.5 Category 1 credits toward the American Medical Association Physicians Recognition Award.
