What we do
Mission Statement
b.r.a.i.n.child is a group of parents, family, and friends who have the common experience of caring for a child with a brain tumour or who are survivors. We are a volunteer organization providing support, education, and research funding.
Objectives:
- To assist patients, their families, and friends through education and shared experiences.
- To inform the community about the importance of early detection and the special needs of children with brain tumours.
- To seek and provide funding for research into the causes, treatment, and cure of brain tumours.
To promote the continued growth of b.r.a.i.n.child, and encourage participation we need people whose personal experience makes them uniquely qualified to provide support for families dealing with this serious illness. We also need assistance with educational research, and the distribution of information about brain tumours through newsletters, pamphlets and seminars.
