Compensation

At SickKids our compensation program is developed to strive for internal equity, external equity, employee equity and flexibility.

Each position at SickKids has a salary range based on the level of knowledge, skills, responsibility and accountability required for the job. Pay is then determined, within the appropriate range, considering the talents and expertise brought to the job, as well as any work related experience. 

To ensure our employees are compensated fairly relative to the external market, SickKids participates in and conducts on-going reviews of external salary ranges, both within the healthcare and non-healthcare markets.
