Nursing

The Centre for Nursing is designed to provide nurses and nursing students with resources to support professional development in the areas of practice, education and research.

The centre exemplifies The Hospital for Sick Children's philosophy of life-long learning, helping to advance the knowledge and skills of nurses caring for children and their families.

The Resource Centre, accessible 24-hours per day, offers a variety of self development resources to assist nurses in the areas of practice, education, leadership, and research.

Continuing education

The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation Education Fund is designed for Nursing staff enrolled in certificate/diploma/degree programs and for continuing education workshops.

Scholarships for nurses enrolled or accepted for enrollment in academic education in nursing or a related health-care field.
Information on regional, national and international conferences and workshops.

Other

  • Nursing journals and publications, selected video tapes, and audio tapes on professionally related topics.
