Extended health and dental care
SickKids provides eligible permanent full-time and part-time employees and their families with an extended health care and dental plan. Under a cost sharing arrangement, the health and dental plan provides a solid foundation of coverage for employees and their families.
The extended health care plan provides coverage for hospital stays, out of country medical expenses, prescription drugs and medical services & supplies (i.e., splints, crutches, rental or purchase of a wheelchair or equipment, diabetic supplies, etc.) The plan also provides coverage for physiotherapy, chiropractor, osteopath, chiropodist, podiatrist, naturopath, masseur, speech therapist and psychologists.
The dental plan at SickKids provides coverage for basic treatments, endodontics and periodontics, dentures, crowns, bridges and orthodontics.
