Neoma Surju


Neoma provides administrative support to the IP&C office and the Research Operations portfolio at the Research Institute. With over six years of professional experience, Neoma brings a dynamic skill set to execute various departmental procedures including meeting coordination, website management, staff expense and payroll administration. She is also responsible for follow-up on invention disclosures status, patent application deadlines, execution of invention assignments and legal agreements, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Prior to joining SickKids, Neoma worked at a third-party Logistics company where she was involved in customer billing, invoicing and production orders. She also worked at the Ministry of Health in Guyana supporting executive and senior staff. Her experience in the business and health-care environments have resulted in a comprehensive understanding of the operational requirements, ethics and adaptability in both environments.

Neoma has pursued a Chemistry degree at University of Toronto, completed a Medical Office Assistant Certification at Centennial College, and is currently working on professional development studies geared towards technology infrastructure.
