The Cardiac Diagnostic and Interventional Unit (CDIU)
The Cardiac Diagnostic and Interventional Unit (CDIU) provides anatomical, hemodynamic and electrophysiological diagnosis in children with congenital heart disease. In addition, interventional procedures allow non-surgical correction of cardiac lesions, both anatomical and electrophysiological. These include but are not limited to: electrophysiological pathway ablation procedures, angioplasties (pulmonary artery and arterial dilations), valvuloplasties (aortic and pulmonary valve), septal defect closures (atrial and ventricular septal defects), valve and stent implantations and ebolization procedures.
