Bringing evidence-based practice to community classrooms
The CHSRG has facilitated a new and growing partnership between clinical and educational researchers at SickKids and a large metropolitan school board. We are bringing research-based intervention programs from SickKids' Learning Disabilities Research Program (LRDP) to community schools.
Teachers are trained and mentored to apply LRDP programs with students who have significant learning problems. Ongoing evaluation and cutting-edge measurement of student outcomes over time form the base of the program.
