The International BMMRD Consortium

About Us

The International Biallelic Mismatch Repair Consortium (IBMMRC) is an international collaborative research initiative among clinicians and scientists which aims to better understand and manage this rare genetic condition. Through the collection of biological and clinical data of affected individuals and family members, molecular genetic analysis, patient screening and laboratory research we continue to increase our understanding of this complex genetic syndrome. Since the establishment of the Consortium, the number of Consortium members is growing continuously to include medical professionals and scientists from around the world.

In European nomenclature BMMRD (Biallelic Mismatch Repair Deficiency) is also known and referred to as CMMRD (Constitutional Mismatch Repair Deficiency).
