CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST

Our Child Life Specialist is Helen Oppenheimer.

A Child Life Specialist provides therapeutic play programs designed to reduce stress and help patients cope with hospitalization.  They help prepare children for medical and surgical procedures and much more. Read more.

 

SOCIAL WORK

Social workers provide a wide range of services for children, adolescents and families. Social work staff offer psychosocial interventions that are an essential component of the overall plan of care for patients and their families.  See social work at SickKids.
