Resources

The Hospital for Sick Children has many resources to help children and families who are coming to the Hospital. These are only a selection that members of the FCCAC thought would be of particular interest to families. You can help us expand our list by contacting family.council@sickkids.ca with information you think would be useful to families at SickKids.

Visiting SickKids

  • Visiting SickKids– Coming to SickKids? Learn more about the Hospital and what to expect during your time here.
  • Multilingual Family Guide Books – Includes many parent tips, important contact numbers, information on supports and services, as well as fun things for children to do while in hospital
  • “Keeping your child safe: your visit at SickKids” – A patient safety information booklet for families.   
    SickKids and Family-Centred Care – Learn about family-centred care and why it is important to SickKids.

Your SickKids experience

  • Patient and Family Satisfaction Survey – How was your SickKids experience? Tell us how we are doing and what we could do better.
  • Child and Family Relations - If you have a question, concern, comment or compliment, you should first discuss it with your care team or unit manager. If this is not possible, Child and Family Relations is available to assist you.
