Continuing medical education (CME)
CME Vision
- To develop innovative formats and venues for CME (conferences, courses, workshops, externships and preceptorships).
- To facilitate and evaluate continuing education initiatives in the Division of Child Psychiatry.
- To develop CME expertise among the child psychiatry faculty in an atmosphere of creativity, collegiality and collaboration.
- To develop research tools and sophisticated outcome measures. Presentations at Continuing Education conferences.
- To make the CME office within the Division of Child Psychiatry a Centre of Excellence.
- To provide ongoing liaison with CME offices at CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health), Department of Psychiatry – University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine – University of Toronto, Department of Paediatrics – University of Toronto and the Centre for Research and Education and Knowledge Translation Program.
- To collaborate with the Telepsychiatry Program, various Divisional Heads of Education as well as the Divisional Education Manager.
CME Committee
The CME Committee meets four to five times per year and serves as a creative discussion to generate new ideas, identify potential speakers and discuss new projects. Various sub-committees are formed to work on specific CME projects and initiatives.
