Application and acceptance procedures follow the Association of Psychology Internship Centres’ (APPIC) guidelines. Our internship setting participates in the APPIC Internship Matching Program and candidates must register for the Matching Program in order to be eligible to match to our site. Information about the Matching Program is available on the APPIC website at www.appic.org. In accordance with APPIC guidelines, applicants for the 2011-2012 training class are asked submit their applications through AAPI Online applicant portal (https://portal.appicas.org/).

Deadline for submission of applications is the 15th of November each year.

In accordance with APPIC guidelines, applicants will be contacted by December 15 and informed as to whether they will be invited for an onsite interview. Interviews are scheduled in early- to mid-January. Although personal interviews are desirable, the applicant is responsible for all travel expenses. Applicants unable to attend in person will be interviewed by telephone without prejudice.

The Psychology Internship Program at SickKids conforms to the guidelines of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centres (APPIC). We participate in the computer matching process sponsored by APPIC. APPIC match policies can be accessed at www.appic.org. It is essential that all applicants to our program register for the matching process in order to be eligible. An application agreement package is available from the National Matching Services, Inc. and can be accessed on-line at APPIC Internship Matching Program. Our Program Code Number is 181811. Results of the match will be communicated to applicants and training directors on match day: Friday, February 25, 2010.

This internship site agrees to abide by the APPIC Policy that no person at this training facility will solicit, accept or use any ranking-related information from any intern applicant.
