Eligibility, stipends, and dates

Consideration will be given to applicants who have completed all requirements for their doctoral program except the doctoral thesis. Applicants must have completed a minimum of 1,000 hours of practice prior to entry to the internship. Both assessment and intervention experience are required. A broad range of exposure and experience is also preferred. In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, preference is given to applicants who are Canadian citizens, or permanent residents of Canada.

The stipend for the 2009-2010 year is set at $30,500 Canadian. Interns' benefits include health and dental coverage, 2 weeks vacation, three 'float days' and nine statutory holidays. A $500 professional development fund is provided for each intern to be used for attendance at scientific conferences or other professional development activities during the year.

The internship begins on the first working day after Labour Day and ends on the last working day in August of the following year.
