Research Interests

Our lab is interested in cell phenotype heterogeneity in primary brain tumours, and the role of epigenetic modulation and genetic drift in glioma progression, treatment resistance and recurrence. In particular, we are interested in the role of long non-coding RNAs and microRNAs in the maintenance of the cancer stem cell identity in gliomas. Our goal is to understand the mechanisms involved in regulation of the stem-cell identity in gliomas and identify new targets for their treatment.
