Road closures on July 6 for Shriners Parade

The Shriners Parade will be travelling along University Avenue on Tuesday, July 6.

Please be aware that travelling to and from the Hospital may take longer than normal that day because several roads will be closed including:

  • Queen’s Park Crescent, east and west, from the south side of Bloor Street to the north side of College Street from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

  • University Avenue, northbound and southbound, from the south side of College Street to Front Street West from 9:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.

  • Several side streets in the area, including Hoskin Avenue, St. Joseph Street, Grosvenor Street and Wellesley Street West, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

All major east-west streets will remain open prior to the parade's start at 1 p.m. After that time, only TTC street cars, specifically the College, Dundas and Queen cars, will be allowed to cross University Avenue during breaks in the parade.

On University Avenue, from Queen to Front streets, east-west streets will remain open, but there may be periodic disruptions to traffic flow.

To ensure that our parking lot remains available for families and patients on July 6, please do not park at SickKids unless you are required to be at the Hospital.
