About Camp Oki
Camp Oki is Canada's first (and only) Summer Camp for children with congenital heart disease.
Beginning in 2004 as a long weekend program for children from the pacemaker and defibrillator clinic at the Hospital for Sick Children ("SickKids"), it has grown rapidly. With staff support from the Labatt Family Heart Centre and organizational support from the SickKids Foundation, we now operate a one-week program in Muskoka for children from across Ontario and Quebec with any type of heart disease, without charge to campers or their families.
Camp Oki provides a safe and enjoyable recreational opportunity for children who are often "shut out" of mainstream summer camping programs because of misinformation and lack of confidence on the part of camps, parents and patients. Whether you have already been to summer camp or haven’t tried it yet, Camp Oki is for you.
