Drs. Ted Gerstle, Georges Azzie and Doruk Ozgediz,
Division of General Surgery, SickKids Hospital

Objectives:

1. Dr. Gerstle: Understand the basic components and characteristics that are important to create a successful international academic partnership.
2. Dr. Azzie: Gain insight into existing international programs and collaborations.
3. Dr. Ozgediz: Understand challenges and possible solutions to recruiting and training surgeons in low-income sub-Saharan Africa.
