We extend a warm welcome to the leading scientists, physicians, and young researchers to the Old Mills Inn attending the Physiology and Experimental Medicine (PEM) Scientific Retreat on 10 March 2010.   

Such a focused day event is significant, timely and important to the health and wellness of children and aims to provide many interesting perspectives on the selected research projects within the program. The major topics of discussion will include: lung growth and neonatal lung injury, lung function and assessment, paediatric respiratory diseases, experimental therapies, mechanisms of weight gain, cardiac stem cell research, tissue engineering and characterization with imaging, and development of new imaging methodologies.

All lab research staff, trainees, principal investigators, and administrative staff are welcome to attend. 

No fees are required for registration. However, if cancellations occur after the deadline of Friday, 03 March 2010 or if there are no shows, a charge of $75.00 will be made to the cost centre provided. A cost centre is mandatory in order to complete the registration. 

If you are submitting a poster, the Poster Submission Form must be completed and submitted the Friday 03 March 2010. Trainees and all research staff, with the exception of appointed staff, is eligible to participate in the display. Download Poster Submission Form
