Brief Biography
Dr. Azzie has a keen interest in international surgery. He has worked extensively around the globe including: the Middle East, Africa, and New Zealand. He participates actively in the Office of International Surgery; helping to expand the international activities of SickKids. Most recently he served as the Program Director for General Surgery at the University of New Mexico. He has taken on the role of Associate Surgeon-in-Chief for Education at SickKids, and is an active member of the General Surgery Residency Program Committee.
Research Interests
Dr. Azzie's research interests include:
- Advanced laparoscopic techniques
- Health care in developing nations
