Brief Biography

Nicky Brookes is an occupational therapist (OT) who has worked in neuroscience and trauma as well as a variety of different clinical programs at SickKids since 1986. Brookes' clinical expertise is in acquired brain injury, cognitive function and swallowing function. She also has an interest in international paediatric health services and the acquisition of expert practice. In 2011 she was seconded to SickKids International for two years as a Senior Program Manager-Allied Health, Qatar Children's Hospital Project. 

Currently, Brookes provides OT services to children and their families in neuroscience and trauma, immunology.
