Brief Biography

Dr. Suzanne Beno is a Paediatric Emergency Medicine specialist at The Hospital for Sick Children.  She completed her subspecialty training at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, became faculty at The University of Alberta in 2006, and joined the Division of Emergency Medicine at SickKids in 2010.

Suzanne Beno is an Associate Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto and a Pediatric Emergency physician at The Hospital for Sick Children.  Recently the co-director of the PEM Fellowship Program, Suzanne currently directs the Trauma Program at SickKids and is the Site Director for the Canadian Hospitals Injury Reporting and Prevention Program.  Suzanne trained in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, joined the Division of Pediatric EM at the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton in 2006, and has been faculty at SickKids since 2010. Her academic interests include medical education in the area of injury prevention and control and system improvements within pediatric trauma activations, with a focus on advocacy and knowledge translation of pediatric injury.
