Brief Biography

Dr. Anne Dipchand began her medical career by receiving her MD from the University of Toronto in 1992. Interested in science from a young age, she chose cardiology as her subspecialty in her second year of residency, and decided that continuing to work and learn at SickKids as she had done for her internship was the best way to continue her education. She now gives back to both institutions that have brought her so far, as an Associate Professor with the University of Toronto, and as a Staff Cardiologist and head of the Heart Transplant program at SickKids.
Dr. Dipchand loves to spend time with her own children, three young girls, and travel when she is not busy with all of her responsibilities at The Hospital for Sick Children and the University.
Dr. Dipchand enjoys practicing at SickKids because the default is asking questions, and helping to move her field forward. With so much progress still to be made, the hospital is one place that always strives to move towards the best patient care and outcomes.
