Brief Biography

Dr. Freilich received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from York University in 1987, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto in 1991. He then completed a general practice residency in hospital dentistry at the University of British Columbia in 1992. Following two years of private general dental practice, Dr. Freilich pursued his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Dalhousie University, and received his Master of Science degree in this discipline in 1998. He returned to Toronto as a Clinical Fellow in Paediatric and Reconstructive Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The Hospital for Sick Children, Bloorview MacMillan Children’s Centre, and Toronto General Hospital.

Dr. Freilich is currently Associate in Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto, and lectures at the faculty in surgery and medicine. As well as practicing at SickKids, he is staff Paediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Bloorview Kids Rehab (formerly Bloorview MacMillan Children’s Centre), and maintains a private surgical practice in the North Toronto area.
