Brief Biography

Dr. Ickowicz is Psychiatrist-in-Chief at the Hospital for Sick Children. He is an Associate Professor in the University of Toronto. Currently he is serving as President of the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Ickowicz has been on staff at The Hospital for Sick Children and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto since 1986.  He is also appointed to the Institute of Medical Sciences of the University of Toronto.
Dr. Ickowicz’ research interests include Learning Disorders in the context of ADHD, genetics of neuropsychiatric disorders, and the study of risk factors in early onset psychosis. He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications and four book chapters.
