Janet Jansen-Strudwick, C.M.S.

Brief Biography

In 1982 Janet graduated with Honors from the Office Administration – 2-year Medical Program at Sheridan College.

After graduating from Sheridan College, Janet started in the Department of Rehabilitation Services and Sports Medicine Clinic at The Hospital for Sick Children.  Over the last 30 years she has worked in various secretarial and administrative positions within The Department of Rehabilitation Services including a number of additional ambulatory clinics and departments (Staff Physiotherapy Clinic, Staff Massage Clinic and Department of Orthotics).

In 1999 Janet went back to school and graduated as a Certified Medical Secretary (CMS).

Currently Janet works as the Administrative Assistant for Irene Ushycky, Director, Clinical Services Portfolio – Department of Rehabilitation (Friends of Tie Domi Rehabilitation Centre) – Divisions of Occupational and Physiotherapy, Department of Communication Disorders – Divisions of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, Child Life, and Creative Arts Therapy – Therapeutic Clowns, Music Therapy and Art Therapy.  Along with providing administrative support to these departments, Janet participates in and represents these departments on SickKids Committees, Task Forces and Working Groups such as ARMS, GRASP, Human Resources, Payroll, Scheduling and Registration, JOHSC.  Janet represents the departments on a number of external committees/facilities including the U of T and the City of Toronto Public Health Department.
