Brief Biography

Jamil Lati is a Physiotherapist in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Critical Care Unit, Plastic Surgery Program, and the Burn Program at SickKids. Lati also holds the position of Rehabilitation Liaison within the Department of Rehabilitation. 

Lati's clinical expertise is in paediatric critical care with a special interest in the early rehabilitation of patients on extra corporeal life support and the rehabilitation of children who have sustained burn injuries and hand traumas. 

Lati also holds a status-only appointment of Lecturer at the University of Toronto, Department of Physical Therapy.

Research Interests

The ongoing development of a mobilizer for extra corporal life support.

The ongoing development of a cardiopulmonary physiotherapy discharge tool.

The development of ICU delirium management strategies.

The perception of parents with respect to the early rehabilitation of children in the Critical Care Unit.
