Brief Biography

Jo-Anne Marcuz is a graduate of the University of Toronto and has been working as a Physical Therapist in the Department of Rehabilitation Services at SickKids since 2003. She has had the privilege of working within the Division of Rheumatology since 2005. Jo-Anne’s clinical expertise is in the area of pediatric rheumatic disease and associated musculoskeletal disorders. She also has experience helping to manage chronic pain and cardiorespiratory conditions like CF.

Jo-Anne holds a status-only appointment of Lecturer at the University of Toronto, Department of Physical Therapy and has enjoyed classroom and clinical teaching for several years. Additionally, she is a member of the Arthritis Health Professions Association the allied health professionals division of the Canadian Rheumatology Association.

Research Interests

Jo-Anne is actively involved as an assessor in several ongoing studies looking at new medical management of children with rheumatic disease. She has been involved in posters presented at various conferences and symposiums on topics such as:
