Brief Biography
Dr. Mina Matsuda-Abedini joined the Division of Nephrology at The Hospital for Sick Children in 2012, as a part-time Staff Physician and Assistant Professor of Paediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. Dr. Matsuda-Abedini attended medical school at McGill University and completed her specialty training in Paediatrics at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. She completed a fellowship in Paediatric Nephrology at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). She was a Staff Pediatric Nephrologist at B.C. Children’s Hospital in Vancouver for seven years prior to joining the division at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

• Dr. Matsuda-Abedini is one of two nephrologists who directs the Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Clinic together with other allied health professionals.
• Dr. Matsuda-Abedini also has a particular interest in Transition Care, and participates in the Transition Care of Renal Transplant Recipients, and was involved in the development of a Young Adult Renal Transplant Clinic at Toronto General Hospital.
