Brief Biography

Dr. Naser is a paediatric anaesthesiologist who has been on staff at The Hospital for Sick Children since August 1997. He is currently the Director of the Acute Pain Service and manages the Acute Pain Service database. Dr. Naser is actively involved in teaching activity for residents and fellows. He received The Hospital for Sick Children, Department of Anaesthesia Excellence in Teaching Award for the years 1998 and 1999. He conducts regular seminars for anaesthesia senior residents at the University of Toronto. He also participates in conducting the University of Toronto Oral Exams for Anaesthesia Residents at the Hospital and University level. Dr. Naser’s interests include acute and chronic pain management in paediatrics, Informatics and database design. Medical informatics, paperless records, information and data management will confront this department over the next 2-3 years. Dr. Naser's non clinical skills will essential to the department's information management goals. He ultimately will be conducting clinical audits and reviews on data acquired through databases.

He is a member of the Canadian Anaesthesiologist Society, Canadian Pain Society, American Anesthesiologist Society, and Ontario Medical Association. His publication interest is on pain related issues in paediatrics.
