Brief Biography
Kate Nelson is a staff paediatrician on the Paediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT). Kate completed undergraduate degrees in English and chemistry at the University of Missouri-Columbia and received her medical degree from Harvard. Following a general pediatrics residency at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, she completed a fellowship in pediatric palliative care at Children's Hospital Boston. At SickKids, she completed a Janice Rotman Fellowship in Homecare Innovation and an academic general paediatrics fellow while pursuing a PhD in clinical epidemiology at the University of Toronto. She is now a clinician-scientist researching ways to better support families making difficult decisions
