Brief Biography

Dr. Nield graduated from Queen’s University in 1994 and started her paediatric specialty training at BC Children’s Hospital. In 1997 she joined SickKids as a fellow in Cardiology specializing in paediatric, transesophageal and fetal echocardiography. Nield joined the SickKids staff in Cardiology in 2000 working in Echocardiography and cardiac clinic. She is also cross appointed with Toronto East General Hospital where she runs a cardiac clinic on Wednesdays and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre where she provides inpatient and outpatient care and specializes in fetal echocardiography.

Nield encourages and mentors many fellows and students with research papers in many areas of fetal and paediatric cardiac studies.
