Brief Biography

Alaine has worked at SickKids since 2001.  She has worked primarily in the Transplant Centre and currently works in the Liver and Small Bowel Transplant Program and Intestinal Failure (GIFT) program.  Alaine graduated from Occupational Therapy at Dalhousie University in 1998, and holds an appointment at the University of Toronto as a Lecturer.  Her primary areas of interest include neurodevelopment and in the impact of long term hospitalization as well as the impact of transplantation on developmental outcomes.  Alaine has been involved in the development of the Beanstalk Program and research looking at school readiness skills in children who have undergone liver transplant in infancy.
