Bruce Simpson


Brief Biography

Mr. Bruce Simpson is a Director of McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm. Until recently, he led McKinsey’s Canadian Practice for 8 years. He now leads McKinsey’s Operations Practice across the Americas, as well as serving on McKinsey’s global board. Bruce serves leading institutions in the industrial sector, as well as the public sector, and is an advocate for Canadian competitiveness. Prior to moving to Canada in 2000 he had various leadership roles at McKinsey in New York and Paris, France. Prior to McKinsey he held executive positions at Procter & Gamble in Europe. He is active in the community on health care, corporate social responsibility and human rights issues, and serves on the Boards of Catalyst, Street Kids International, Human Rights Watch and the Trans Canada Trail. He holds a BA and an MA in Law from Cambridge University and Master’s degrees in Business and International Studies from Wharton Business School and the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Simpson was also awarded a Churchill Medallion by the Queen for exploration in China.

Mr. Simpson joined the Board of Trustees in 2005.
