Brief Biography

Graduated from McMaster University Medical School in 1994. Completed resident training in peadiatrics at SickKids from 1994 to 1998 and was appointed Associate Chief Resident in her final year. From 1998 to 1999 completed a Fellowship in ambulatory paediatrics with focus in areas of child maltreatment and neurodevelopmental paediatrics. Dr. Shouldice is a clinician teacher in the Division of Paediatric Medicine. Her primary areas of clinical practice are child abuse and neglect and child development. She has an interest in medical education and is currently enrolled in the Master of Education program at the University of Toronto, with a focus on health professions education. She was the Director of the Suspected Child Abuse & Neglect (SCAN) Program, the Medical Director of Outpatient Paediatrics and Assistant Professor in the Department of Paediatrics, University of Toronto. Dr. Shouldice also works as a medical consultant at Bloorview Kids Rehab and North York Branson Satellite Clinic. She became the Division Head for the Division of Paediatric Medicine in February 2014.
