Brief Biography

Rayzel Shulman is a staff physician in the Department of Paediatrics and the Division of Endocrinology and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology at McGill University, her medical degree at McMaster University in 2004, and her PhD in Health Services Research from the Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto in 2015. She trained in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology at the Hospital for Sick Children. She is a post-doctoral fellow at the Institute for Clinical and Evaluative Sciences (ICES).

Clinical Interests

Care of children with diabetes mellitus and general endocrine disorders.

Research Activities

Rayzel Shulman’s research activity is focused on the access to, quality of, and health policy related to the delivery of care for children and teens with diabetes. She is investigating the factors associated with diabetes management and outcomes in the context of the Ontario Pediatric Diabetes Network with a goal of informing relevant health policy.
