Brief Biography

Heather graduated from Fanshawe College in 1975 and started her nursing career in the NICU at the Hospital for Sick Children. She left SickKids to complete her BScN at the University of Western Ontario and graduated in 1982. She became the Coordinator for the Neonatal/Perinatal Intensive Care Nursing Program at George Brown College and continued her association with SickKids with students completing their clinical courses in the NICU. She graduated with a Master of Education from Brock University in 1987 and completed the Neonatal Specialty component of the MHSc Programme at McMaster University in 1995. She continues to work full time at George Brown College and part time as a Neonatal Advanced Practice Nurse in the NICU at SickKids.
