Leafs bring smiles to SickKids

Patients at SickKids were visited by a group of men in blue and white on Monday. The entire Toronto Maple Leafs team, including coaches and Carlton the Bear, made their annual visit bringing plenty of goodies for patients. The players gathered with media in Marnie’s Lounge before making their way around the hospital delivering gifts to patients.

Fourteen-year old patient Liam played a round of air-hockey with Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf and said “Meeting the Leafs was fun! My dad is going to be really jealous!” Ready and waiting with his Leafs Jersey on, Cameron, 13, said meeting his favourite hockey team was “overwhelming and surprising!” Cameron was given the opportunity to meet his favourite player Tomas Kaberle and get his Leafs jersey signed by all the players.
