We’re only going up from here!

This week marks the end of excavation at The Research & Learning Tower construction site. This means that all the digging is done and now construction can begin movin’ on up. SickKids broke ground on the construction site, at the corner of Bay and Elm streets, in May 2010 and since then approximately 39 000 CM (cubic metres) of dirt has been displaced. This amount of dirt could fill over 15 Olympic sized swimming pools!

Towering 21 storeys above ground level, The Research & Learning Tower will be dedicated to paediatric health research and education.  Completion of the building is scheduled for August 2013.
