Aligning with the SickKids value of innovation, we have developed a series of mobile apps to empower patients, families and health-care professionals. The list below will continue to be updated as new apps are created.

For families and health-care professionals

Arthritis Invaders - Charlie has been diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) and needs your help! This app is currently only available to participants of a research study led by Dr. Jennifer Stinson. Download on iTunes.

Pain Squad - Developed by researchers at SickKids, this is an evidence-based pain diary that plays like a game and is recommended for children 8 to 18 years of age with cancer. Learn more. Download on iTunes.


myIBD - Developed by doctors and patients to help people manage their Inflammatory Bowel Disease. It's packed with features to help those living with diseases like Crohn's and Colitis better understand their treatment. Download on: iTunes or Google.

LearnAboutBA - A useful learning and teaching app for parents, patients and health-care providers. Featuring two levels of information, users can learn at their own pace. This app helps users understand all aspects of biliary atresia from anatomy to treatment using beautiful illustrations and animations. Download on: iTunes or  Google.


For health-care professionals


pedsMRI – This app provides pediatric MRI protocols at the finger tips of the user. The intended users that are involved in performing MRI tests in children include pediatric radiologists, general radiologists, MRI technologists, radiology fellows and residents. Download on: iTunes or Google.

iscorEB - This app scores clinical outcomes of research for Epidermolysis Bullosa.  iscorEB can be used for research purposes or in regular clinical practice to monitor disease progression. Patients can use the patient score to monitor changes over time. Download on: iTunes or Google.

TnECHO – This app supports neonatologists who are actively involved in a recognized Targeted Neonatal Echocardiography (TnECHO) training program. This application is aimed at familiarizing neonatologists with basic echocardiography views and aiding self-directed learning. Download on: iTunes.


Caliper - The CALIPER App has been developed for paediatricians, family physicians, health-care professionals and parents worldwide. This is a user friendly and easy tool to  quickly compare a child’s laboratory test results to a database of normal values (reference intervals) covering more than 100 tests routinely performed to assess children with various medical concerns. PediPain - The PediPain App can be used as a point of care app for managing pain in children. It provides weight/age-based dosages for common medications used in managing pediatric pain. Download on: iTunes.
