What we do
Today, paediatric heart transplantation covers an age range from the fetus listed for transplant at 36 weeks to the late adolescent. Diagnoses range in complexity from straightforward cardiomyopathy to the most complex of congenital malformations. Successful outcomes after paediatric heart transplantation occur in the majority of patients, with a five-year survival rate greater than 70 per cent.
