Description of Position:

You will provide family-centered nursing care to children along the continuum of care. You will assess the nursing needs and provide care to support children and families as they experience illness and the response of treatment. You will develop and implement a nursing plan of care in collaboration with the child/family and the interdisciplinary health care team. You will maintain clinical competence and knowledge base through continued education and life long learning. Current openings for experienced Registered Nurses in the following Clinical areas:

Emergency
Critical Care Unit
NICU
4D - Cardiology
5A - Orthopaedics and Otolaryngology
5B - General Surgery, Urology
5C - Neuroscience, Trauma, Ophthalmology
6A - Rheumatology, GI/Nutrition/Hepatology, Nephrology, Multiorgan Transplant, Endocrinology
7BCD - Paediatric Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Infectious Diseases
8A - Haematology/Oncology
8B - Bone Marrow Transplant
8C - Burns and Plastic Surgery

Qualifications:

As the ideal candidate you are a Registered Nurse with a Baccalaureate degree and/or Diploma in Nursing or evidence of working towards. You must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Experience in paediatric nursing is required. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have demonstrated your ability to utilize your critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork abilities.
