Overview and mission
The centre will integrate six cross-disciplinary themes comprised of three disease themes: Cancers of the Nervous System, Cancers of the Musculoskeletal System and Cancers of the Hematopoietic System – Leukemia/Lymphoma; and three scientific discipline themes: Fundamental Research, Translation/Therapeutics Research and Outcomes Research.
The Comprehensive Cancer Centre’s mission is to facilitate and catalyze innovation in multi-disciplinary research, clinical care and education. New knowledge will transform clinical practice and dramatically improve the outcomes and quality of life of children affected by cancer and their families.
