G-Tube Team Contact Info

If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact the nurse practitioner or one of the G-Tube resource nurses. Below you can find out which person to contact and their contact information.

When to call the nurse practitioner

    • To discuss a patient being considered for G/GJ-Tube placement (see also how to initiate a consult).
    • To request a consult for G/ GJ-Tube placement.
    • To provide patient and/or family information regarding G/GJ-Tubes.
    • To book a family/patient into the G-Tube caregiver class.
    • To inquire about G-Tube insertion dates.
    • To discuss the advancement of a G to a GJ Tube or changing a GJ to a G Tube.

When to call the G-Tube Resource Nurse

    • To assess the stoma or skin of a patient who has a G/GJ-Tube.
    • To discuss/manage tube issues such as blockage, breakage, migration and dislodgement.
    • To book a family/patient into the G-Tube caregiver class.
    • To organize a low profile balloon tube (i.e. Mic-Key Button ™) change and/or insertion.
    • To organize the permanent removal of a G/GJ-Tube.
