Founded in 1997, the International Patient Program (IPP) was established in response to increased requests from international families and health-care providers seeking access to the world-class, specialized medical services provided at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). Over the years, the IPP has helped hundreds of children around the world access specialized clinical care by acting as the families’ liaison with the required SickKids clinical programs, helping to facilitate communication and ensuring the SickKids expert teams have the necessary information to make informed decisions regarding treatment.
SickKids' goal is to provide international children who require specialized paediatric care not available in the patient's home region, with seamless access to our world-class clinical teams from inquiry and application through to completion of the treatment. In doing so, we help achieve SickKids' vision of Healthier Children. A Better World.TM
