Education at SickKids is a core business that impacts every aspect of our operations. That is why the Learning Institute was created to support all educational activity at the Hospital. The Learning Institute is the place to go for information on training, education and professional development.
People from around the world have come to rely on the expertise that SickKids offers. An important goal for the Learning Institute is to continue to look for ways to share this knowledge and expertise, and to make sure that research is clearly linked and transferred to the care of a sick child.

Through the Learning Institute we are studying and developing innovative ways to offer training within activities such as simulation, e-Learning and interprofessional education. Since learning is a shared activity, we seek ways for health care providers to learn with and from each other.
The Learning Institute supports all educational endeavours at SickKids within an impressive range of programs and services for patients, families, health care providers, trainees, staff and volunteers. The Hospital organizes and coordinates paediatric training, child health information, professional development, workshops and conferences on a wide range of topics.
