Mission:
The Learning Institute’s mission is to:
- Lead and innovate in paediatric training and the provision of child health education
- Advocate for core child health academic content in all clinical programs
- Develop local, national and international communities of educators and learners
- Consider the education needs of all SickKids’ staff
- Establish SickKids as the source for learning – for children, families and professionals
- Provide an evidence base for educational practice
- Ensure that education is the link between research and practice
- Embed learning as core to the SickKids’ vision, mission and values
- Recognize educators for their contribution to the health care of children
